Toner: What is it and why use it?

We've just added two lovely hydrosol based toners to our range so we thought we would talk a little about them as Toners are probably the most misunderstood product in all of the skincare lines, get missed out or the wrong formula is chosen.

After cleansing this is your next step and we don't use them for removing those last traces of make-up or impurities. Your cleanser should have removed everything and the toner should give added elements that will:

increase hydration

minimise pores

provide a layer of protection

reduce the penetration of environmental contaminants

Prepare your skincare products work harder

Our toners are flower water (hydrosol) based and are gentle and balancing and smell beautiful. Formulated to be sprayed on a pad and wiped across the face for combination/oily skin or used as a spritz if the skin is dry or sensitive, just a light spray will leave the skin refreshed and ready to progress to a serum or moisturiser.

Pyon toners are targeted toward specific skin requirements

Combination or Oily skin: Balancing Geranium and Witch Hazel Toner

Dry and Sensitive Skin: Rose and Aloe Vera Toner
